Question by Honda: Can I repair a cut outdoor telephone wire with braided wire?
I accidentally cut my telephone wire while I was digging a hole in my yard. The line is literally 2 inches deep. The only wire I have on hand is braided 16 gauge wire. Can I do the repair with this braided wire, or do I need the solid copper wire only? I have environmental splices that will seal all the connections.

I would use 0.5mm copper. You need to put it in a sealed unit once you have jointed it. Phone lines and moisture dont get on.

I have a small windowsill garden where I am growing a few herbs like basil and that sort of thing. I need a source for small potted plant accessories like miniature tomato cages or trellises because my herbs are getting tall and the garden center, nursery, Target, all those type of stores don’t have anything for small pots, only large garden plants. There must be a source somewhere for small sized garden accessories. I do not want to move these plants outside as I have many animals around that will eat them and I don’t have a yard to plant them in. I also don’t want to junk the pots up by sticking in things like chopsticks. I want them to look nice, just miniature versions of what one would find in a garden outside. I actually looked at a dollhouse website and found some trellises but they are really expensive! Any other sources would be greatly appreciated!

Make them yourself with wire coat hanger…bend a “C” shape on one end, bend the c 90 degrees (perpendicular) to the wire.

“herbs are getting tall” indicates they’re getting leggy, reaching for light. Herbs want full sun. Won’t do well in small pots, would prefer being in at least a 1 gallon pot.

I have a 10 x 10 chain link kennel, and one of my dogs has decided to chew his way out of the door. He has broken one of the clasps holding the chain link to the frame of the door, and has bent the main bar that shapes the chain link, on the same door. At this point he has escaped several times today, despite our best attempts to fix/contain him. We have no choice but to use his old cage. Is there a way to re-pair the door, and perhaps reinforce it? Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

Food safe, I doubt it. Concrete is aggregate and cement; basically just differing amounts.
